I haven’t weighed in, in a couple weeks, so I guess it’s time. 137 is the magic number. Only a couple pounds in a couple weeks, and have exercised very little, but what I have done has kicked my ass. Jackie’s DVD is crazy!!! I am a wuss, I can’t do all the exercises for the full 20 minutes, but I do half and my 6-pack abs are starting to peek through. My eating has changed drastically, no more sandwiches with mayo every day, been eating lots of carbs believe it or not. I have cream of wheat or oatmeal once or sometimes twice a day. Lots of shredded wheat cereal with whole milk. Bought Cherrios this week and my evening meals are unchanged, I pig out on whatever I want, just a smaller portion. I can tell that my overall size has gone down because I am fitting in my 8′s without no problemo. As soon as I hit my goal weight, I will do my measuring all over again to see the real dif. How are my girls doing out there, still keeping up?

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008oh yes. I remember the familiar burning sensation coming from down there. Nooooooo not that down there! My legs! I tried Jackie Warner’s Workout: One-On-One Training and I am very pleased. It’s been a long time since I worked out really hard and this DVD will do it to you. I was hesitant to get it because the popular vote on Netflix was only 2 stars, but I give it 5 stars hands down.
She has several of the trainers her show, Bravo’s Workout, that take turns going one on one with her. There are 3 sets of 20 minute exercises. Upper, lower and core/abs. Glad I just worked on the legs today because if I would have done the whole thing, don’t think I would be able to type right now, I am very sore. Lots of squats in today’s session. Buns of steel soon. woohoo. Tomorrow is upper.

TGIF & Friday Weigh-In
Friday, May 23rd, 2008TGIF! Been busy all morning, I have a ton of mailers going out trying to get some work. Also working on some new website projects, can’t wait to finish them and show you!
Wish me luck, I have a phone interview on Monday for a job, it is a work from home position and I hope I get it. It’s tough out there right now finding work.
Red has come and gone a million times. Tried tying him up this morning after feeding him, but he got it loose and left again and now he won’t come to me at all. It turns out, not only is the little girl feeding him next door, but she invited him into the house several times and also their other dog is in heat, so lots of reasons for him not to come home. Dave said he saw the neighbor hit Red, but Red still won’t go away. The neighbor came over to talk to me last night and wanted us to come get him and take him home, that they didn’t want him there. He admitted that he hit him, but said again, he just won’t go away. I told him, well tell the little girl to stop feeding him, he said, no one feeds him. I said think again, she told me that she did. So the little girl got busted probably. Hope he didn’t hit her! Dave then tried several times to bring him home and he won’t. So we will just take this day by day and see what happens.

Friday Weigh-In
Friday, May 16th, 2008Today’s weigh-in is only 140. Only lost a pound. ugh. This is where it gets tough for me, I have a hard time getting passed this stage, kinda makes me feel like maybe I should just stay at this weight. Beth and Sammie, how are you doing on yours?
Just got in from running, it is beautiful out today. A high of 71 which is odd, kinda feels like Ventura weather.
That’s it for right now, me stinky time to shower then back to working on a new website.
Wednesday Weigh-in
Wednesday, May 7th, 2008Looking good so far. I have a weigh-in today of 141 pounds. That would be a 6 pound weight loss, woohoo. Not doing bad considering I haven’t been exercising this week and hate a couple big meatloaf sandwiches. hehe. My legs are healed from all my squats, so I will get back out there tomorrow.

Friday, April 25th, 2008Woke up this morning expecting to head over to a temp agency to take some tests, but they called and rescheduled for next week. Went out and got a run in instead. Been trying to get the dogs to run with me, but they are old and lazy. Dave suggested getting a puppy. Not sure about that yet. Now I am sitting here making out our meal schedule for the next week and a grocery list. It’s been tough having to stick to a budget. When it has come to food in the past, we just get whatever we want. Last week I spent over 200 bucks in nothing flat, can’t keep that up.
My eating and exercising has been going good for my first week at it. Ran 3 times in five days and will do more this weekend. I have been grubbing on yogurts, eggs and toast, ½ sandwiches for lunch and 3 main food groups for dinner, small portions. I usually don’t like to get on the scale for a week since my last weigh-in, but I couldn’t resist this morning, my hips feel slimmed down. Wouldn’t you know, 3 pounds lost. Only 9 pounds to go. 135 is a good goal for now.
Have a killer weekend, we are working on our garden, weather permitting.
First Weigh-in
Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008Alright, this is it. I haven’t exercised in over a year and time to step it up a notch and get it going again. No more excuses. Dave made me a track around the part of the property where the mower video was taken (below), I can’t find my pedometer anywhere to see how far it is around the track, but we are guessing it’s a 1/4 mile track. Yesterday I did 4 rounds, this morning I did 8. That’s power walking and running combo, I like to switch it up that way I am not so worn out. Running on the grass is a challenge, there are some spots that make my ankle cringe, so have to be careful.
To help me with my scheduling, I am using my Microsoft Outlook to put in task reminders and I have it set to remind me to exercise for 1-hour a day. I am going to try my damndest to do it that often, I have the time now, but my goal is every other day FOR SURE!!! Key words are I HAVE THE TIME NOW, drill it in your head Jenny!!!
Now for my eating, I am not going to get all crazy. I have a theory on what I believe works and that includes eating whatever I want. I don’t want to go through life being miserable not being able to have certain foods, so my take on it is to eat whatever you want, just eat less of it. We will see just how that works!
My weigh-in is done and I added it to my long list of weigh-in’s over the years. Funny how much I changed, I was damned skinny in 1999 and I am almost my wedding size now. The long lapse between 2003 and 2007 is because I bloated up into the high 160′s!!!! jeeeeez louise fatty.

So this is my announcement to the world and to myself that it is time to kick my ass into gear baby!!!!! It’s on!

Thursday, December 21st, 2006Oh by the way, this product DEX-L10, South African Hoodia Gordonii is the shit. Been taking it now for about 60 days, no side effects, suppresses my appetite and seems to be working in combination with diet and mild exercise. If you need a kick of caffeine, then get the red box which is the complete version, but I don’t like to be on speed all day, so I take it straight. Directions say 2 a day, but you can take up to 6. I only have taken 1 a day and still saw great results. Could get expensive taking any more than that. Next up is the chocolate soft chews. Check it out.
