Back to the grind tomorrow

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

Long four day weekend, will be happy to get back to the grind tomorrow.  One more billing day left this month!

We had a nice Thanksgiving.  Dinner turned out great, turkey was as tender as could be.  Been eating sandwiches every day since, glad we are out and it’s over.  I didn’t gain much this Holiday, as we have been taking walks and are going to attempt to walk 10 laps a day out on our track.  We will see how long it lasts.

We dont have kids, but have 5 animals to take care of.  Not the same as kids, or is it?  We pick up crap, throw up, and Dave wont admit it, but we have wiped a butthole or two!  Feed them, bathe them, love them.  Maybe animals are slightly better because they don’t talk back.  (My Molly would argue tho.)

We are having a problem lately with Red and Roscoe running off across the street to the neighbors to dig in their trash.  Every time they get into trouble, we have been locking them up all night long for being bad boys.  This occurs usually 3 times and a week and both Dave and I are miserable when this happens because we love having them around.  We suffer when they get into trouble.  Mom, did you feel the same way when you grounded me?  hehe  They are locked up right now, me hates it!

What’s fer dinner

tacos maybe.  not sure.  craving spicy.  Last night made killer sushi rolls, yes, I am a sushi whore.  One roll had steak in it with A-1 sauce, then paired it with a green onion and red pepper, I call it Japanese Fajita Roll.  Next two were craw fish and tilapia tempura.  All were delish.

So that guy that made an appointment with us to see our place completely flaked!  Yes, Jason Dennis of Memphis, TN, I am talking about you.  You are a rude individual.  This guy calls us a week in advance to set an appt.  I told Dave the night before the appt to call the guy, so he does, the guy confirms for 9am, and says that he will call at 8am before he is on his way.  8am, came and went, 9:15 rolls around and he calls and says that he is on his way, running late and will be here at 10am.  The guy never showed and never picked up the phone when we called him again, what an a-hole, we waited around until Noon for him, thinking maybe he could have gotten lost or something.  He very well could have driven by and didn’t like the place, but show some manners and pick up the phone.

Busy week coming up.

Quickie Update

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Been in the 30’s in the mornings lately, it’s getting cold here.

We have a bite on the property, supposed to be here to see it in 20 minutes.  Was supposed to call before coming too and the phone hasn’t rang, so probably another no show.  Hate that about people.

We listed it in the MLS to give us a better chance in getting rid of it.  We are ready to move!

It’s Saturday, but I have a list of work to-do’s to get done.  Work never stops!

Ran out of coffee filters this  morning, so trying a paper towel, so far so good.

I ain’t got nothing else.

Happy Saturday

Another usual day around these parts today.  I am going to put a couple hours of work me thinks.  Dave took Roscoe to go get his shots.  Spent an hour hitting the ball to Red this morning.  He needed some attention, as the boys, (Roscoe & Red) were locked up all night long.  They were bad and took off last night.  Usually we lock them up for an hour or so after being bad, but with the recent poisoning and killing of 3 dogs across the street, we wanted to make sure they were safe.

What else……

No bites on the property yet.

Garden is still going if you can believe it.  My italian parsley is growing better in the cold than it did all summer. Bell Peppers too.  Habaneros, japapenos and tobasco peppers still haven’t stopped producing, my freezer is overflowing. But that is the extent of it.  What I miss the most are the tomatoes, they were the best this year.  Made the best salsa with them!

Nothing else going on really.  Boring I know.
