We woke up the other morning when a big storm was hitting, we opened the door to check on the dogs and there was a frog on the window trying to get away from the water.

Updated Garden Pics & Roscoe Update

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Nice morning, so stepped out and shot some updated pictures of the garden. We had a bad storm hit here a couple weeks ago and knocked the rows of corn over plus the habanero plant and basil were almost pulled from the roots. The corn seems to prop back up when the sun comes out, so hopefully not a lost cause. The habanero plant Dave is trying to save, basil seems ok since a little primping. Something is getting a hold of our
broccoli. Maybe a rabbit or birds. I need to make a scarecrow, need a flannel but I
don’t own one anymore, anyone have one they don’t want?

Roscoe is all better now, he is over the sickness, thank goodness it wasn’t parvo!

Happy Sunday

Weekend ok except for our new puppy being sick.  I just came in from picking some mint, thyme, basil and jalapenos out of the garden.  Everything looks great.  Spent time weeding this morning, my thighs feel nice and worked out.

Going to make this recipe tonight, except using Manacotti because my store sucks and never has what I need. Using some stuff that I picked today.  Need more recipes with basil.  Pesto maybe.  oooo yum.

Incredible Baked Cauliflower and Broccoli Cannelloni

Our corn took a hit from the last storm.  Will take pics of all the progress this week.

UPDATE:  Made the recipe and it was probably one of the best italian dishes I have ever made.  The whole basil leaves in it, did something special to it.  And I was able to sneak the anchovies in without Dave knowing.  Told him, AFTER he said it was good.  The only change to the recipe I did was added a little sugar to balance out the salt and vinegar.  What I will change next time, adding onions with the garlic.

Countrywide/Bank of America Mortgage you suck!

Woke up to a complete disaster this morning!  I got a notice from my credit reporting people that someone had checked my credit, I logged in and found that it was just someone I already have a loan with, so I went on to get a new report and credit score while I was at it and oh holy crappers my score went from 732 to 654.  YIKES!!!!  The detail showed me not making a payment on our mortgage in June.  Thought how can this be.  Opened up my Quicken and sure enough, made the payment ON TIME, grabbed my confirmation # and called them right up.  They showed my payment was posted, but to the wrong internal account code.

So because they have incompetent people working there, I have to pay the price?

They told me that because our account is in loan modification review, that they are unable to remove the ding from the credit, not until the account if finished being in review.  This after we applied for the Loan Mod in December of last year and they said it would take 3 months to complete, we are at month 7, gimme a break, who knows how much longer they will lag.  I told them it’s unacceptable, as soon as my other creditors find out that my score is that low, they are going to raise my rates real quick.  Got a Supervisor on the phone and they said they would submit for a request for removal.

I have to stay on top of this, what a load of crap.  Also you would think a procedure would be in place to notify customers of their past due payments before they ding your credit.

Happy 4th of July

Thank you to all our men and woman fighting for our freedom.

We don’t have anything planned today.  Supposed to be over 100, so we will stay indoors most likely.  Just watched Serena beat Venus and now the men’s doubles are on, waiting for the men’s finals, go RF!  Maybe tomorrow.

I went out and took mass pictures of the garden and the property this morning.  Everything is so green and beautiful, I love this time of year.  Hate the bugs tho.  Biting flies, gnats buzzing in your ears is is hard to bear.

Here are some garden pictures.
