Totally been lagging on the updates, I know. I have been so busy and pretty uninterested in the Internet lately, which is so NOT ME, but maybe turning into a new me, I dunno. Work is the priority and I have plenty of it to keep me busy, so I am not complaining.

We got a new fryer in the house and my husband requested Chicken Fried Steak, so I gave it my best shot. No recipes for the sides, I just popped some biscuits in the oven, and started water for a pack of powder instant gravy. Later on I will post a recipe for the works from scratch. This was easy and simple, my fryer heats up in 5-10 minutes!
Set your fryer or oil to 360-375 degrees.

Set the steaks out until room temperature, salt and pepper on each side. Set up a dipping station, one bowl with your flour mixture, mix all ingredients well and the other with your egg mixture, beat lightly.
Dip your beef into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, then the flour mixture again. After coating, I set mine directly into the basket…………..
and right into the fryer……….
until golden brown, about 6 minutes.
Serve with your favorite sides. This turned out real good, can’t wait to make this again with everything from scratch!

Ok, just got back from my b-day massage. It was pure heaven. Dave mentioned before I left that I needed to tip. I didn’t, does this make me a bad person? If yes, then someone please explain to me why should I tip after paying the person $60 for one hour? Same goes for a hair stylist. Why should I tip after just paying you $200 to do my hair for 3 hours. I used to be a waitress at a bar, I served them drinks and got tips for serving them. They didn’t pay my wages, it makes sense why they tipped me.
Anyone care to chime in?
I just porked out on a big mac and small fries. Oh how I miss eating out. Don’t miss being fat tho. =P
