We Have Radishes!

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Dave and I were talking last night and he said, “You should go check out the radishes, they are almost ready to be picked”. I thought he was lying, but goes to show you how often I go out to the garden. Dave is usually the waterer. Sure enough, the radishes were poking their heads out of the dirt. Beautiful aren’t they?

Jackie Warner’s Workout: One-On-One Training

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

oh yes. I remember the familiar burning sensation coming from down there. Nooooooo not that down there! My legs! I tried Jackie Warner’s Workout: One-On-One Training and I am very pleased. It’s been a long time since I worked out really hard and this DVD will do it to you. I was hesitant to get it because the popular vote on Netflix was only 2 stars, but I give it 5 stars hands down.

She has several of the trainers her show, Bravo’s Workout, that take turns going one on one with her. There are 3 sets of 20 minute exercises. Upper, lower and core/abs. Glad I just worked on the legs today because if I would have done the whole thing, don’t think I would be able to type right now, I am very sore. Lots of squats in today’s session. Buns of steel soon. woohoo. Tomorrow is upper.

Denise Richards: It’s Complicated

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

I don’t care what anyone says, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated reality show is good, I liked it. She seems like a cool chic, I would want to hang out with her. I talk just like her. lol I think that she had her kids just enough in the show to not exploit them and watching all her animals and pigs was kinda neat, thats what our place will be soon. hahaa kidding Dave.

Living Lohan is next.

Dang, that was some spicy stuff

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Last night we checked out a new mexican restaurant. Lately we have been on this margarita kick and the place was called, Margarita’s Bar & Grill, so we hit it up. Ordered a pitcher and our food. When it came and as usual, it wasn’t spicy enough for me, so I asked the guy to bring me something hot, didn’t care what it was. Shouldn’t have spoken so bluntly because he brought me a small bowl of tomatillo sauce and then broke out a bottle of this stuff. He wouldn’t let us see it, but only put about a teaspoon in, stirred it around. I was so sick of waiting and my food was cold, so I took a big old tablespoon of it, put it on my taco and scarfed it down. Next thing ya know, I have sweat coming off my upper lip, my eyes are watering, throat started swelling. This was the hottest shit I have ever had in my life. I was trying to man up about it, but it was tough. I am having flashbacks just thinking of it now. oh nevermind, thats just my ass burning.

This is the hottest hot sauce I have ever had.

TGIF & Friday Weigh-In

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

TGIF! Been busy all morning, I have a ton of mailers going out trying to get some work. Also working on some new website projects, can’t wait to finish them and show you!

Wish me luck, I have a phone interview on Monday for a job, it is a work from home position and I hope I get it. It’s tough out there right now finding work.

Red has come and gone a million times. Tried tying him up this morning after feeding him, but he got it loose and left again and now he won’t come to me at all. It turns out, not only is the little girl feeding him next door, but she invited him into the house several times and also their other dog is in heat, so lots of reasons for him not to come home. Dave said he saw the neighbor hit Red, but Red still won’t go away. The neighbor came over to talk to me last night and wanted us to come get him and take him home, that they didn’t want him there. He admitted that he hit him, but said again, he just won’t go away. I told him, well tell the little girl to stop feeding him, he said, no one feeds him. I said think again, she told me that she did. So the little girl got busted probably. Hope he didn’t hit her! Dave then tried several times to bring him home and he won’t. So we will just take this day by day and see what happens.

Friday’s weigh-in is 140. blah.

Happy weekend!

Red

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Red is gone. The last few days he hasn’t been minding us and now he is gone next door. Dave and I both feel that he needs to be here or be gone, not half in half. We aren’t going to take care of this dog and waste money on it if he comes and goes as he pleases. So this morning when we fed the dogs, we just fed the two and didn’t call for him. Is that bad? Then he came through the fence line and stayed afar, we said, “bad dog, you stay here”, and he took off back next door. Was that a mistake? I feel bad, but wtf.

It’s not over yet.

UPDATE: So the little girl next door is feeding Red. That’s what the prob is. I was just sitting here and saw something pass by the window, so I went outside, it was him. He wouldn’t come to me, was too busy worrying about a place to shit and then took off next door. Is this what all my feeding and taking care of him as resulted to, a place to come take a crapper? Think I may go next door. It’s either her dog or mine. Feed him all the time or not at all.

Happy Hump Day

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

It is so beautiful out in the Country. It’s a little past 6am, birds are chirping, Sun is rising and there is a crisp in the air. Love my life. Didn’t love chasing after the friggin dogs this morning though. I glanced outside and all three just standing right smack dab in the middle of the street. Couldn’t get out there fast enough.

Worked out in the garden a little yesterday and not everything is growing like we had hoped. Coming through real well are the radish’s, corn, parsley, pumpkins, and squash. Disapointing, but will have to replant soon.

I am going to get going, I have a real busy day today. Lots of things on my to-do list today, glad I got up early to get going at it.

Friday Weigh-In

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Today’s weigh-in is only 140. Only lost a pound. ugh. This is where it gets tough for me, I have a hard time getting passed this stage, kinda makes me feel like maybe I should just stay at this weight. Beth and Sammie, how are you doing on yours?

Just got in from running, it is beautiful out today. A high of 71 which is odd, kinda feels like Ventura weather.

That’s it for right now, me stinky time to shower then back to working on a new website.

Fantastic weekend

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Had a fantastic weekend. Really didn’t do much, but my mood is the big change I guess. It’s been tough moving on after the way things were handled from my old job. Never in my life have I been treated so unprofessional and rude. Made me such a bitter person, all the lies. Happy to be moving on from all those ugly nasty people, hehe.

No update on garden pics yet, maybe in another couple weeks. Right now the Parsley, Corn and Radishes are coming in pretty good.

We have a new addition to the Furst family. So far he is sticking around. Dave named him Red and I think it’s fitting. I believe that he is a half Rottweiler, Half Golden Retreiver. For the first several weeks, he would come around all the time, making himself at home in the dg house. We would run him off constantly, but then realized that he was getting skinnier and wasn’t mean at all. All the neighbors think that someone dropped him off in the Country, I guess people do that kind of thing. Ever since we started feeding him, he hasn’t left. Been nice, I love him, he will speak, sit, lay down. So cute!

Wednesday Weigh-in

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Looking good so far. I have a weigh-in today of 141 pounds. That would be a 6 pound weight loss, woohoo. Not doing bad considering I haven’t been exercising this week and hate a couple big meatloaf sandwiches. hehe. My legs are healed from all my squats, so I will get back out there tomorrow.
